Hi, everyone.  I hope you are all enjoying your last
few days of summer - it is amazing that the beginning
of the school year is so close for many of us!  Here
is the BOLE for August.  Beginning next month I will
try to publish two BOLES each month, as per Jay's
suggestion.  So if you have anything you would like to
see in the BOLE, please let me know!  Wishing you all
a great start to the school year - Bridget

I.  INTERCAMBIO CON ESPAÑA:  (un mensaje de Eduardo
Tobar)

664-2400/etobar@ospi.wednet.edu.

2) "PREJUDICED, WHO ME?"  WSAME 7TH ANNUAL FALL
CONFERENCE
Bias, prejudice, intolerance, hate.  You may not be
aware of how your conscious and unconscious
preferences influence the decisions you make.  How
prejudiced are you and what can you do about it?  Dr.
Anthony Greenwald, featured this spring on the
Dateline NBC special, "Hate and Violence: No Simple
Answers," demonstrates and discusses racial bias
testing and shares research findings as this year's
WSAME Fall Conference keynote speaker.

Whether you work in the schools, on campus, in private
or public sector business, agencies or other
environments, the implications of this research on
individuals, organizations and society are profound.

The conference, on Saturday, October 7th, will be held
at the Seattle Central Community College campus and
features over 20 workshop sessions, door prizes,
multicultural/diversity vendor resource sales and four
free clockhours.  Advanced registration $40; after
