Queridos socios:

I am sorry again about all the names, but Yahoo!
e-mail doesn't allow me to put everyone in the "blind
carbon copy" any more due to abuse of spammers.

I.  LHONDA BACKMAN RECEIVES FULBRIGHT TO ARGENTINA:

Socia LHONDA BACKMAN of North Thurston High School in
Lacey has began her Fulbright exchange to Argentina
and sends her regrets about not being at chapter
events until she returns in January.

II.  AN EXCITING START FOR SOCIA NONA BRADY:

Socia NONA BRADY has been offered her FIRST JOB

III.  EASTERN VICE PRESIDENT SONJA HOKANSON TO APPEAR
AS SUBJECT OF SEATTLE SCHOOL DISTRICT-KCTS SPECIAL ON
TEACHING WITH TECHNOLOGY:

The Seattle School District has contracted with local
experts to give two hour interviews on specials
dealing with teaching with technology.  Dr. Sonja
Hokanson of Washington State University is recognized
throughout the state as a pioneer in the uses of new
technology.  She is always glad to answer your
questions and direct you to web sites.  Her office
phone is (509) 335-2755, or e-mail her at
shokan@mail.wsu.edu.

Here is info. on how to obtain the tape of her
broadcast and whom to contact about when it airs on
KCTS.  This e-mail is from KCTS' Judy Doherty:

"New Tools - Teaching with Technology" airs only
within the city of Seattle. Seattle Public Schools
distributes the programs on videotape through Pyramid
Media. Tapes can be ordered through Pyramid's website:
http://www.pyramidmedia.com or 800/421-2304.

Any other individuals besides yourself, (since you
were a featured guest on the program and received a
complimentary copy) who would like to use the tape
will either have to purchase it through Pyramid Media,
or obtain permission directly from Seattle Public
Schools. (I'm sorry if this feels like I'm passing the
buck, but Hollyce and I are contract producers for
Seattle Schools and are not authorized to release
additional copies of the program.) So, I'm copying
this email to Lisa Yeakel, the manager of the
Seattle Schools Television Studio. She should be able
to help you with your inquiry, if you have additional
questions.
