I. PART TIME JOB IN SPANISH AT FRANKLIN
PIERCE SCHOOL
DISTRICT (TACOMA AREA):

Would you mind advertising a part-time Spanish
position in our district in your next Bolectrónico?
It
pays a bit more than $20/hr and I think it's
about 8
hours a week. It entails teaching Spanish to
fourth
and fifth grade project excel students and I
think one
group of project excel kids (highly capable)
at the
middle school.

II. NATIONAL SPANISH EXAM: DO IT FOR YOUR STUDENTS
Interested teachers who are members in good standing
by Dec. 1st (have paid their dues for 2000) can
contact me at ocadman@kalama.com to request materials
and order forms for the tests. This has
to happen in
Nov. I have to have their requests by Dec. 1st
so I
can send them the forms and they can return their
checks and all to me and I turn in everything
to
national in Jan.

Oriana Cadman sent in a joke, and Sonja Hokanson
figured out that you could use it to teach imperfect
subjunctive and conditional:

French jointly present BASQUE CULTURE: A CELEBRATION.
5 clock hours are available-- free! The
event costs
$12 (7 of which go to the Basque chef for the
luncheon.) The event will be held in Shoreline
at the
home of Marian Thom near Shorewood High School.
