 1!

 1. - Presenters: We have four people: Kutz Arrieta,
Milagros Mezo, Javier Larrinaga and Nick Vroman. I
gave Kutz Arrieta Nick's email address so that the
 presenters can get in touch
with each other and decide on the details of the
 program.

 2. Robert just told me that Javier will cook Basque
food and the participants (at least those wanting to
try Basque food) will pay an extra fee for the meal.

Gero Arte means So long! in Basque, but for at this
time of night I think I should say Gabon!

 III.  CLAMOR.

CLAMOR is out and should be in your mailboxes
 shortly;
Ana María and George will be seeking submissions for
the December issue very soon.  George has put
 together
some excellent pieces on pedagogy for the issue
 you're
 about to receive.

IV.  CONGRATULATIONS TO PROFESSOR JOHN BREWER.

Our WSU colleague Professor John Brewer has been
chosen President of the AATG (German) for
 Washington.
Dr. Brewer and I have recently discussed aspects of
teaching culture in Spanish and German and are
 looking
at a joint AATSP-AATG event on the legacy of
totalitarianism and how to teach about Hitler,
 Perón,
Franco and other dictators inside the garden variety
language classroom making use of language.

WSU is proud of its leadership in the World Language
arena.  Among our people: current and former WAFLT
